PROFESSIONAL STAFF Lumanair has several full-time and part-time FAA certified flight instructors who are commited to helping you acheive your aviation goals.. All of our instructors meet strict requirements and utilize a standardized training program that allow our student pilots to learn the most in the most efficient amount of flight time. We have instructors available seven days a week who can tailor your training to your schedule, day or night! WELL-MAINTAINED FLEET Lumanair trains our students using a top-of-the line, well-maintaned fleet of both Cessna and Piper-manufactured aircraft, both single and multi-engine. All of our aircraft are serviced by our own FAA-certified aviation mechanics in our approved FAA maintenance facility and must undergo a riguous inspection on a regularly scheduled basis. COMPETITIVE RATES & DISCOUNTS Lumanair's aircraft rental and instructor rates are the among the most reasonable in the Chicagoland area, and include fuel and maintenance costs (no fuel surcharges!). We offer "block" discounts that can help you save long-term on the cost of renting our aircraft, up to 5% off. We also carry a variety of training materials, headsets, charts, and pilot supplies for your convenience. AFFORDABLE FINANCING AVAILABLE Lumanair offers competitive financing for flight training directly to its students through Pilot Finance, Inc. PROVEN TRAINING PROGRAM Lumanair utilizes the Jeppesen training program, developed exclusively for flight schools, colleges, and universities and which has been proven highly effective in pilot training. We offer 14 CFR Part 61 training, which means we tailor the length, frequency, and scope of your lessons to your schedule! You can also work toward an associate's degree in Applied Science at nearby Waubonsee Community College through flight training. CATS TESTING CENTER Lumanair offers CATS computerized testing onsite for Private Pilot written exams all the way up to ATP, which can be scheduled at your convenience 7 days a week. ACCESSIBLE AIRPORT FACILITY Aurora Municipal Airport operates with a user-friendly control tower, outside of the busy Chicago Class B airspace, and features three hard-surface runways, and has numerous instrument approaches to choose from, for all your training needs.

Lumanair offers introductory flights as an economical and fun way to discover the world of aviation. You'll get to meet with a Certified Flight instructor and go for a short flight to see what flying is all about. He or she will answer any questions you may have on learning to fly and you can determine if aviation is right for you. If you're already flown before or are interested in learning how to fly, you can schedule a time to tour our facilities with an instructor and see our fleet of aircraft firsthand. We also offer add-on training, WINGS program training and Biennual Flight Reviews, ground training, aircraft rentals, currency checkouts, sightseeing flights, and more.
